Teacher Info

Teacher Info

Here is all the info you need to implement the challenge in your class.

1 - Students: Have them watch Flipgrid videos from their Math Mentor.

Have the students select the MP for the week. I created a schedule below. Each student will login with their student ID. Student IDs are located in this spreadsheet.

2 - Students: Have them spend about 30 minutes on Khan Academy.

Each student will login with a unique username and password. Login info is located in this spreadsheet.

3 - Students: Have them go back to Flipgrid and respond to their Math Mentor.

Remind students to go back to the MP for the week and find their Math Mentor. They can respond directly to that video. My students will try to give the students question prompts, but you can have the students respond to questions that you might have as well. The goal with the Flipgrid video responses is to get the students to be reflective about their learning.

Each student will login with their student ID. Student IDs are located in this spreadsheet.

4 - Teachers: Fill out the Attitude & Effort Form.

  • By the end of each week, I would like you to fill out the Attitude & Effort form. I'll use this to give each student Einstein Points. I want to make this as simple as possible for you. If you have suggestions for ways to make it quicker and easier, let me know. You can base your score on what happened during the Chasing Einstein hour or based on their work for the entire week. The goal with the game is to reward the students that are working the hardest and have the best attitude.

5 - Teachers: Share a Flipgrid video for my DSU students.

  • I would like you to share a short video each week with feedback on how things are going. I'll share your video with my students. This video won't be viewed by the MMS or Aberdeen students.
