iPad Apps

These are some of my favorite apps for the iPad.
Math     |     Coding     |     Content Creation     |     Other

Math
Math Mountains: Add & Subtract and Math Mountains: Multiply & Divide
These apps teach students number sense by showing the relationship between operations and fact families. (I'm biased. These are my apps.)
Motion Math: Pizza!
One of my favorites. Great for problem solving, multiplication, and addition.
Sumaze! and Sumaze! 2
Students have to use their math skills to solve problems. Whole numbers, decimals, fractions, integers.
Dragonbox Algebra 5+ and Dragonbox Algebra 12+
Teaches students algebraic concepts. Engaging. Interesting. Unique.
Ken Ken Classic
This is a great math game that makes students THINK!

Coding
Lightbot: Hour of Code and Lightbot: Progamming Puzzles and Lightbot Jr: Coding Puzzles for Ages 4+
There are a LOT of coding apps available in the app store. I really like these because of the interface and programming fundamentals that students develop.
Hopscotch
Allows students to create almost anything they can imagine.
Kodable
I like this one for young students. Starts out very simple.

Content Creation
Adobe Spark
Create animated slideshows/videos. Very easy to use. I love the ability to record audio for each individual slide.
iMovie
Very easy to create movies and trailers.
Tiny Tap
Create games, ebooks, and interactive lessons. Lots of features.

Other
Spelling Star
Perfect for practicing for spelling tests. (Another one of my apps!)
